Just Released | IWR 2014


The second report, the IWR 2014, has expanded the study significantly, to cover 140 countries and is being launched in December, 2014 in New Delhi, India. The IWR 2014’s main theme is Human Capital with a focus on Education. It provides valuable insights into investment strategies of countries on education and potential returns from future investments into education, and demonstrates the use of the Inclusive Wealth Index as a key indicator for sustainable, stronger, and more peaceful development.

This time around, the reports’ scope has been greatly expanded to include data on nearly 140 countries. The selection is expected to cover around 96% of the world’s population, and 99% of its GDP.

As report director, Prof. Duraiappah oversees all aspects of the report. He brings together conceptual ideas, institutions and people to guide the report’s implementation.

Dr. Muñoz is responsible for the calculations and computations that go into creating the index. He has developed the inclusive wealth accounting system and its corresponding empirical measures, and continued to evolve the platform for the 2014 report
